Enum - TenantStatus

Key: enum.tenantStatus

Lifecycle state of a tenant, from provisioning through to deletion — including the failure path. Sourced directly from the status check constraint (ck_tenants_status) on platform.tenants in EM3.

Values

ValueDescription
provisioningThe tenant record exists but its schema/database is still being set up. Default value on insert.
activeThe tenant is fully provisioned and in normal use.
suspendedThe tenant has been temporarily suspended (e.g. licence lapse, contractual issue). Not further defined by this analysis — see the owning feature for suspension triggers and effects, once documented.
deletedThe tenant has been deleted. Note this is distinct from the row-level deletedAt soft-delete column also present on tenant — a tenant can in principle carry status = deleted while the row itself is still soft-delete-null, or vice versa; the exact relationship between the two is not yet reconciled (see the tenant entity page).
failedProvisioning was attempted and abandoned: the retry budget was exhausted (or a dead lease was reaped past it) before the tenant ever reached active. Terminal in the sense that nothing retries it automatically — an operator resets it back to provisioning to try again. See Tenant Provisioning.
