Enum - GaugeMeterOwnership

Key: enum.gaugeMeterOwnership

Identifies who owns the physical metering device installed at the supply point. The default value is customer — the vast majority of meters are owned and operated by the energy subscriber. The distributor value covers cases where a grid operator installs and retains ownership of its own meter on the customer's premises, typically for production gauges (FVE, CHP) where the distributor needs independent measurement of energy delivered to the grid. In such cases the customer has no access to or responsibility for the device. Carried over from EM2.

Values

ValueDescription
customerThe physical meter is owned by the energy subscriber (customer). This is the default for the overwhelming majority of gauges. The customer is responsible for maintenance and replacement.
distributorThe physical meter is owned by the grid operator or energy distributor. Applies primarily to production gauges (FVE, CHP) where the distributor installs its own measurement device on the customer's premises to independently measure energy delivered to the grid. The customer cannot configure or replace this device.
thirdPartyThe physical meter is owned by a third party (e.g. an energy service company, building management company, or data acquisition service provider). Used for metering devices that are neither subscriber-owned nor distributor-owned — for example, meters installed and operated by an ESCO under a service contract.
