Enum - ReadingTariff
Key: enum.readingTariff
Measurement dimension identifying which tariff band a value belongs to, for gauges billed with multiple tariff rates (e.g. high/low electricity tariffs). On reading, combined with type, direction, source, and format, it forms part of the composite identity used to distinguish simultaneous readings for the same gauge — a reading with both a high-tariff and a low-tariff value at the same timestamp produces two separate reading rows, distinguished by tariff. Reused as-is on invoiceValue for the same purpose — distinguishing tariff-segmented consumption/cost rows on an invoice.
Values
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
total | A single, undifferentiated value — the gauge is not billed with separate tariff bands. |
high | High-tariff (peak) portion of a multi-tariff reading or invoice. |
low | Low-tariff (off-peak) portion of a multi-tariff reading or invoice. |
special | A third, separately-billed tariff band distinct from high/low (EM2 SPECIAL_TARIFF). Confirmed present in live data on both sides (staging query, 2026-08-18): 150 rows in invoice_value, 723 rows in gauge_reading_value — a genuine shared requirement, not invoice-specific. |
null | Not applicable — used for measurement types where a tariff distinction has no meaning (e.g. temperature, humidity, CO2). |
