Enum - GaugeReadingMethod

Key: enum.gaugeReadingMethod

How a single channel (one gauge record, one measured parameter) is read. Set by the user on the measured-parameters table when the gauge is created or edited. It decides how many gaugeSourceSetting records the channel has, whether the manual reading-frequency check runs, and what the default source priority is.

Values

ValueDescription
manualThe channel is read by hand. One gaugeSourceSetting record with source = manual; the reading-frequency check runs against its frequency.
remoteThe channel is fed by a paired remote endpoint of a connector. One gaugeSourceSetting record with source = remote, pre-filled from remoteEndPoint (unit, interval, register) and not editable by the user.
bothRemote feed plus manual control readings. Two gaugeSourceSetting records — each with its own unit, frequency and coefficient; the manual one drives the frequency check, the remote one is the primary data source.
